Untamed Office is a project under the Oulu2026 cultural programme that improves the opportunities for young adults in creative fields. It enhances Oulu's attractiveness and vitality through northern urban culture and sends a message of European solidarity: you can act and make a difference wherever you are! The project is implemented from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

 

At the core of Untamed Office is a production office specialized in advancing urban culture, offering work and internship opportunities for cultural creators aged 18 to 30. The production office puts into practice cultural and art projects that originate from creators’ own ideas and also develops expertise in broader productions within the project.

 

Untamed Office enlivens the city by organizing clubs, street parties, urban art, and annual events such as the Frozen People Festival, which will culminate in becoming an international winter event in the Oulu2026 program in 2026.

 

The project also offers cultural counseling tailored to the target group and runs the Kulttuurilaboratorio that serves as an experimentation platform for culture. Untamed Office creates opportunities for European cooperation through the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programs.

 

The project will expand from 2024 to 2026 with measures that respond to the need for skilled professionals in the creative industries generated by the cultural capital activities. The goal is to provide employment solutions for young adults and organize workshops that prepare them for cultural production and the arts.
